Changing variable name in Excel will not change the variable when linked rules are refreshed.

The Excel import function reads the variable and data and creates the function when first imported. Thereafter, the variable is static and only the data is refreshed.

To change a variable name, delete the existing rule and re-import the data.

This is intended behavior.
